FIVE STAR WEALTH MANAGER

We are pleased to announce that Milestone Asset Management Group’s advisor, Michael Mezheritskiy, for the second year in a row, was awarded the 2016 Five Star Wealth Manager Award.

This year’s list of award winners will be published in the Decembers edition of Connecticut Magazine. This exclusive designation is given to select wealth managers in more than 40 markets throughout the U.S. and Canada. Self-nominations are not accepted. Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or placed on the final list of 2016 Five Star Wealth Managers.

The Five Star Wealth Manager Award is based on 10 objective criteria associated with providing quality services to clients such as credentials, experience, and assets under management among other factors.

An independent research firm identified and qualified a very elite group of Advisors who have a strong commitment to their clients, quality of their practice, and their professional accomplishment. This year, only 4% of Connecticut area’s top wealth managers won the Five Start Award.

We are very proud to be included in this group.

Determination of Award Winners

Award candidates who satisfied 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria that are associated with wealth managers who provide quality services were named 2015 Five Star Wealth Managers.

Eligibility Criteria (Required)

  • Credentialed as a registered investment advisor or a registered investment advisor representative.
  • Active as a credentialed professional in the financial services industry for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through Five Star Professional’s consumer complaint process*).
  • Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards.
  • Accepting new clients.

Evaluation Criteria (Required)

  • One-year client retention rate.

  •  Five-year client retention rate.

  • Non-institutional discretionary and/or non-discretionary client assets administered.

  • Number of client households served.

  • Education and professional designations.

    Research Disclosures

  • Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or awarded. Once awarded, wealth managers may purchase additional profile ad space or promotional products. The award methodology does not evaluate the quality of services provided and is not indicative of the winner’s future performance. 2,263 Connecticut wealth managers were considered for the award; 526 (~24% of candidates, and no more than 4% of financial services professionals in the Connecticut area) were selected.

  • To qualify as having a favorable regulatory and complaint history, the person cannot have:

  • Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a suspended or revoked license, or payment of a fine.

  • Had more than three customer complaints filed against them (settled or pending) with any regulatory authority or Five Star Professional’s consumer complaint process.

  • Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint filed with a regulatory authority.

  • Filed for bankruptcy.

  • Been convicted of a felony.
